Monday Afternoon – Building off center wheels with a rear bicycle wheel
Monday Additional topics – Spoke lengths, spoke and nipple design, tools
Tuesday Morning – Truing bicycle wheels
Tuesday Afternoon – “Wire Wheel Mastery”
Spoke patterns and how and why they work.
Forces which are applied to a wheel when in use.
How and why the weight of a wheel influences performance braking and handling.
Using the information about spoking patterns to decide the correct spoke lengths.
Wednesday Morning – Measuring, calculating and ordering motorcycle wheel parts. Offsets, hubs, rims, spokes, nipples.
Wednesday Afternoon – Building your first motorcycle wheel, an alternative method of building the wheel and why we do it, truing the motorcycle wheel.
Wednesday Additional topics – MOTs, Tools
Thursday Morning – Dealing with many complications with an old British rear wheel. Taking data and dismantling this afternoons wheel.
Thursday Afternoon – Building a wheel with limited spoke access. Truing and tensioning to the highest professional standards.
